Lori Sebastian for Bethel School Board
Lori provides fiscally conservative leadership you can count on. Bethel Local Schools opened a brand new K-5 building (approx. $31 million) and an athletic stadium ($3-4 million) AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO TAXPAYERS. To our knowledge, no other Ohio public school district has been able to build facilities of this magnitude without asking for an additional bond issue. Because Lori has mathematical aptitude and she has an Ohio School Treasurer's license, Lori has the knowledge necessary to analyze, scrutinize, and interpret financial data. Lori was instrumental on the Bethel School Board in 2017 when the New Construction Fund was established, the mechanism allowing the district to build our current facilities.
Lori has served on the Bethel Local School Board for 8 years, serving as vice-president (2022) and currently is board president. In addition to regular board meetings, Lori went to weekly building meetings, monthly CORE meetings, and facilities meetings. Lori worked with the administration, building partners, and current school board to make good decisions on behalf of your tax dollars. Consider when other districts had to ask voters for additional money to finish projects, Bethel did not. In fact, due to careful building project fund management, Bethel was able to finish the 5th grade wing (over $600,000 cost) and handle the rising costs of construction.
